Frequently Asked Questions

This page keeps only the matches in progress. Each one shows the score, the overs bowled and the state of the innings from the last update we received. Open a match for the detail behind the line.

Scores refresh on a schedule rather than ball by ball, so what you see is the last recorded state of the match. If a figure has not arrived yet, we leave it out instead of showing a zero.

Because none of the matches in our data is in progress at this moment. Cricket has quiet days between series. The fixtures page lists what is scheduled next.

No. This is a scores and statistics site, not a broadcaster, so there is no stream and no video here. Live pictures come from the rights holder in your country.

The first number is the runs the batting side has scored and the second is the wickets it has lost. So 145/3 is 145 runs for the loss of three wickets, with seven wickets still in hand.

Stumps is the end of a day's play in a match scheduled over more than one day. The score is held where it stands and play continues the next day, so the match is not finished.

It leaves this page and appears on the results page with the final score and the result. The match page itself keeps its URL, so a link you saved still works.

About the Match Centre

This page shows cricket that is being played right now. Each match card carries the current score, the overs bowled and which side is batting, and updates as new data arrives from the provider.

When a match finishes it moves to the results page, where it keeps its final score and, where one is published, the full scorecard. If nothing is live, the page says so rather than showing stale matches — an empty live page means no cricket is in progress in the competitions we cover, not that something is broken.

How current the scores are

Scores are stored locally and refreshed on a schedule, so no page view makes a live call to an external service. That keeps the page fast, but it also means the score here can trail the ground by a few minutes. The last update time is shown at the top so you can judge it for yourself.

Reading a live card

The score is written as runs for wickets, with the overs in brackets: 112/4 (34) means 112 runs for four wickets after 34 overs. In a chase, the side batting second needs to pass the first innings total before its overs or wickets run out.
