Cricket Results

Results are completed matches with the final score and the outcome. Each card shows both innings totals and the result line — who won and by how much.

Where the provider publishes one, the match page also carries a full scorecard: every batter with runs, balls faced, boundaries and strike rate, and every bowler with overs, dot balls, runs conceded, wickets and economy rate, plus how each dismissal happened.

Reading a result

A team batting second wins “by wickets” — it reached the target with that many wickets in hand. A team batting first wins “by runs” — the margin between the two totals. A match can also be tied, drawn, abandoned or decided on a revised target when rain shortens it.

Draws and ties are different things

A tie means the scores finished level. A draw means the match ran out of time before a result was reached, which is possible in Test and other multi-day cricket but not in limited-overs matches.

Where the data comes from

Results come from a licensed provider and are stored locally, so nothing here depends on an external service being up when you load the page. A result is published once the provider confirms it, not while the match is still in progress.
